GAWAIN's response was a tilt of the eyebrow and a tightening of the lips.
"I cannot say I approve." Was his blunt reply.
"How exactly do you plan to on 'keeping him safe'? You are a turk. You are already on their list, Autumn." Was she really expecting him to just let her walk herself blindfolded into a minefield? She had enough targets painted on her back already, the last thing he was going to let her do was willfully blow herself up.
He was rather ready to argue tooth and nail with her, but before they could go at it, there was a knock on the door.
The blonde sighed, slowly reaching over to rub at his temples; preparation for what he knew was to come, really. Just because you had your arguments ready, it didn't mean you would be able to convince the other party, after all. As he did, however... he began to hear the ticking sound of clock.
How annoying. A SOLDIER's hearing could be too acute at times.
Before he could truly process this, a Pizza was unceremoniously plopped down unto the desk, startling the man out of his thoughts.
"... Did you order a pizza all for yourself?" he asked teasingly, his gaze slowly moving down to her stomach meaningfully.
... Wait a minute.
Autumn did not have any analog clocks on her office. And none of them had a watch on them– his pocket watch had been forgotten at his desk in his office.
It all happened exceedingly fast. And suddenly, he felt extremely stupid- because he had been the one to wonder about it before- how in the world had he been allowed to simply slip away? It was ridiculous, so-
GAWAIN's hand snatched the metallic bug as it was flung across the air, crushing it under a furious iron grip before he swung himself over Autumn's desk. Lucas Garett's words were heard but barely acknowledged, the blonde man falling to one knee in front of Autumn before scooping her up in his arms-
And kicking down her office door.
It was torn of its hinges, flying off into the wall across from it.
"Follow me!" Roared the man to the youth behind him as he barreled out of the office with Autumn Nevada in his arms. Not too far ahead, the same youth the turk had terrified before looked about ready to ruin his pants as the SOLDIER barreled towards him, barking orders. "You! Contact the science department and the Medical Bay! They must prepare a team to receive an officer! That is an Order from GAWAIN!"
...
"MOVE IT!"
