Name: Noah Betrant
Age: 46
Faction: Unaligned
Weapon: None
About: Noah's life was nothing short of chaos. His mother was a Songress and his father's a Shin-Ra's soldier. Due to his father's insistence, Noah was forced to follow in his footsteps. Even at the young age, he was trained, pushed to the limits with physical training. He demanded no less from him and refused to listen to his complaints, but through this hardship, The father discovered Noah's prowess with Materia. Overnight, he changed his training regime around improving his magic synergy.
From his Adolescence to recruitment age, not once he had the opportunity to act like a child.
From day one, he impressed the drill sergeant with his steadfast and obedience and was on a fast track to be a fully fledged soldier. Despite his perfection, he remained distant from his fellow soldiers and even when he was stuck among the group, he remained silent, never to voice his opinion.
Migar back then was a completely different world, slowly building, branching out by claiming lands. It was a moment of peace when all had changed.
The president was assassinated.
Confusion and panic throughout the military, the moment of attempt to power grab was stifled as the President's Son, Raffery stepped up with a single declaration: War on Wutai.
He was one of the first of the forces to step up into the fold and attacked Wutai. His squad deed was impressive in itself, receiving accolades and promotions from their superiors, but as the years went by, their numbers swindled as though as the squad gained fresh supplies, they failed to live long enough as Noah's original squad. By the time Wutai's capital fell, he was the only original member of the squad.
Being the leader of the squad and promoted to the rank of Captain, he, with new supplies of men went on to raze it all down, all the country and all of its people. There was something over there that made him snap, his weaving of magic sparked fear among even the most hardened Wutai soldiers. With magic, he commited untold crimes of killing citizens. This went on until Wutai had finally yielded.
And he woke up. He realised the sins that he committed, and immediately he rejected the materials that he used to kill innocents, casted it into the ocean hoping it would never be used ever again. Upon his return to Midgar after being in Wutai from the beginning till the end, his home had changed. More plates were built, the air of liviness turned into a perpetual smog. If this was his punishment, then so be it.
He tried to remain with the Military, but struggled to keep up with the youngsters, he decided to retire from the forces a few years after the war had ended.
He had managed to keep himself away from using offensive magic, relying purely on restoration, he built up a reputation as a doctor throughout the fifth sector and even the higher sectors. Noah never really got along with his parents, opting to live in a trailer in the fifth sector slums with a reasonably large space for his self employed General Practitioner.
Even still... the horrors of his past still haunts him.
