Hi all, after the first month of opening i've had some time to observe different things and have some changes that will be made. While I can't promise it will be the last tweaks to the board it should be the last big one for a while.

These changes will be rolled out throughout the day. I am allowing full character rebuilds if anyone needs one if the character was approved anytime before tomorrow until the end of the month.

• A face claim board will be added for those that want to use animanga characters to represent them. Face claiming will remain entirely optional.
• We are going to move to discord. A staff Q&A channel will remain on the site for guests to use, but we are going to migrate our main chat into discord. The main reason for this is because of a series of issues with cbox dropping peoples cookies or being blocked by browser settings. Also just to help modernize the site a bit to appeal to a larger audience.

• The elementalist archetype is being removed in favor of improving the elementalist materia to take over its unique functions. Iroh Wolfe is the only member I can recall having taken this feature, and they will be refunded an archetype point. Elemental materia equipped to the armor slot will now let the caster use the linked element as if they were a level higher in magic (even 0 can go up to 1 with this). They also gain the strengths and weaknesses of the element. Elements in the weapon remain unchanged other than following the new type matchups below. You can now explicitly only equipped one elemental materia per weapon or armor.

Armor Slot: You are immune to your own type and resistant to the type your element is effective against (pointed at in the graphic above).
Weapon Slot: Your weapon deals extra elemental damage. The effectiveness of it depends on the type matchup in the opponents armor (listed above).
• Transformations are now inherently treated as if they are wearing an elemental materia with the element they choose in both the weapon and melee slot. This also means they can use t1 magic of their element type even if they don't have the materia. Lastly the strength of a transformation is now variable to the fight level of the user, adding +2 to fight. This means many transformations will exceed human limits. This extra fight boost can be traded to give the transformation the new 'Ability' special feature. No materia will work while transformed and transformed characters cannot use items.
• The Ability special feature works very much like limit breaks being a custom effect around a similar strength. Unlike a limit break this ability can be used repeatedly at the cost of 2 ATB. Alternately it can grant new methods of mobility or other passive effects such as flight.
