Ryuma has a special reputation, especially among the Turks and other Shin-Ra operatives. His name is associated with his violent temper, a narcissistic ego and an insatiable passion for beautiful women. Anyone who is stuck working with him can be sure that he'll be spending more time yammering than actually focusing on the task at hand. And yet in his years of service he has managed to have a remarkable enough record to land himself a position among one of the most exclusive groups in the organisation. This is a fact that he takes great pride in, going to great lengths to play the part of the 'super cool special agent'. No matter where he is or what he's doing you can find him dressed to the nines. Full suit, black tie, dress gloves and impeccably well polished shoes.
While he tries to ensure that the first impression he offers others is that of a suave super spy, all it takes is for an individual to scuff his shoe for his true colors to show. Ryuma is a brute, plain and simple. As much as he tries to play off his frustrations with attempts at witty insults or belittling others, it's rarely long before he puts all that aside and starts making threats. In times like this what little rationality he has is often tossed out the window, his mind entirely focused on doing whatever it takes to preserve his reputation. His attitude has lead many to wonder how exactly someone like him managed to find himself in such a well respected position. While few would claim that he's not a capable fighter, he certainly seems to be lacking in intellect.
The fact of the matter is he achieved this goal through hard work and determination, even if that's difficult for those who know him to believe. Most of the time he's a very lazy individual who goes to great lengths to avoid even the most minor inconvenience. But there are three things that he craves more than anything else, desires so powerful that it could motivate even this slothful individual. Money, power and women. Ever he was a child and his family moved from Wutai to Midgar he yearned for greatness. Seeing the reports of SOLDIER, the respect and admiration they had in the public eye, the fan clubs and their prowess on the battlefield. In that moment, he knew he wanted nothing more than to be among their ranks.
Unfortunately this simply wasn't in the cards for him. After joining Shin-Ra Security he performed well independently in the field. He showed an unexpected loyalty toward Shin-Ra, albeit one clearly motivated by his selfish ideals. Rather than finding himself recruited into SOLDIER, he instead received an offer to join the Turks. As skilled as he was in combat, it seemed that his willingness to follow orders without question and perform the most unethical duties without hesitation was even more valuable. It may not have been his original dream, but any opportunist could see that this was going to be the best offer he would ever receive.
Ever since he has served as member of Shin-Ra's Investigative Division of General Affairs, specializing in the most gritty of black ops. No matter what task is set before him, his superiors can know that it will be done with enthusiasm and a smile.

Description: Once in a blue moon, Ryuma will actually pay attention to what's happening instead of just screwing around. This allows him to fully utilize his speed and reflexes, elevating them well beyond their usual parameters. Of course his attention span for such things isn't too long, so he'll always end up getting distracted again after at most 3 turns.
