History:
Iroh was born the firstborn of a wealthy family living in Midgar. He was three when little Akira was born. Iroh's father was a scientist for Shin-ra; something he took great pride in and expected his children to follow in his footsteps particularly Iroh. Iroh's mother was of Wutainese descent and she was the parent Iroh was closest to as a young boy. She was warm and loving and Iroh adored her much more than his strict father. Everythings was going well for the family of four up until one day when Iroh was ten and his mother seemingly vanished without a trace. Iroh hated his home after his mother vanished. His father kept trying to convince the boy he was going be a scientist for Shin-ra when he got older something Iroh disagreed with. Iroh was thirteen when he got the distinct scar on the left side of his face. He and some friends had been playing with some materia they had found in his father's study and one of his friends while messing around with fire materia, hit Iroh on the lest side of the face burning him badly. His father, being a cruel man refused to heal the wound as means to teach Iroh the importance of not messing with things that didn't belong to him. He only healed the wound when it was too late to not leave a permanent mark on the teen. The relationship between Iroh and the man who he called father deteriorated even more after that and Iroh eventually ran away when he was fifteen. He took up learning how to fight after leaving home, taking up dao swords with ease. He was seventeen when he joined Avalanche, seeing it as the way to deal with the damage done by Shin-ra's use of Mako Energy on the planet and also a way to get back at his cruel father. He is also searching for his mother.
