Sector 1-4: Residential Areas The plates of these sectors offers apartment living for the upper middle class. As some of the first places constructed in the city the area beneath the plate is more developed than other areas, featuring large projects that house many of the cities lower middle class.

Sector 5: Old Town Sector 5 is home to a large residential area that is home to some of Midgar's wealthiest citizens. Beneath the plate is a heavily populated slum, and the remnants of the original town that was settled long before Shin-Ra existed. Sector 5 is the only place in Midgar that flowers still grow.

Sector 6: Wall Market The plate above Sector 6 was never completed due to budget constrains. It is home to the Wall Market, a place of vice and debauchery. It is a hotbed for criminal activity that Shin-Ra tends to ignore.

Sector 7: Slums The sector 7 slums beneath the plate feature small homes often made from scrap metal picked from the nearby train graveyard. Atop the plate is an air station that houses helicopters and airships and industrial facilities.

Sector 8: Mako-Electric Square Home to a large entertainment district on top of the plate. This sector has the most traffic because it is home to the train station that transits to the ground level . Beneath the sector is a large slum that mostly houses service workers who work on the surface.

The Wastelands The area surrounding Midgar, an arid and harsh place where sheer cliffs provide the only coverage from the sun. Only the toughest of critters survive out in the wastes, so be careful!

Kalm Kalm is a sleepy little village found across the wastes going through an economic decline. There are a few shops, an inn, and a bar there. Sometimes folks visit just to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city.
