It was on this day that Rin truly didn’t want to come back to any time soon. Today’s mission was to make their way to Laboratory Gibralter in Sector 8 slums. Where the laboratory was starting to become overpopulated with failed experiments, but what the mission really debriefed them and covered up with a story of their own. Even as Rin’s mako-infused eyes rested on the thick closed doors. The surrounding area was enclosed like a dome of scrap built to hide away this lab from prying eyes. On the left side is a control panel that has a terminal to which Rin knew would open these doors. Of course there is a helicopter landing pad roughly 20 meters away from the entrance, but it lacked a chopper for the moment.
Leading down to ground level is a flight of steel stairs, and there is also a small parking lot that has a few abandoned trucks. Two of them had been flipped over on its side with claw marks gouges into the metal shell. Rin only glanced at the shattered windshields to see the rotten remains of Shin-Ra’s guardsmen as old blood splatters on the inside. One with a broken jaw, and the other seemed to have been mauled while trapped in their seatbelts. The Soldier tilted his head as he crossed his arms over his chest.
”Monsters infiltrated the lab they say… Yeah, I’m not buying that.” Rin mutters to himself as the mission details were simple. A pack of strange creatures got into Laboratory Gibralter and killed some of the staff there. Both Rin and a Turk that went by the name of Autumn Nevada were tasked to get in the laboratory and eliminate the creatures. Easy enough, and yet Rin felt like someone was playing some kind of game here. A sharp headache erupts within Rin’s head at the thought of being here. For the last time Rin was here is to be experimented on. The Jenova Cells, a pathogen that might as well be a parasite rather than further augmentation.
Currently he’s just waiting on his partner to arrive, and while he could’ve just traveled with her. Rin’s ability to fly has proven invaluable as he cuts the time to get here tremendously than normal. He’s lost count how many people panic when Rin drops from heights, but in these labs his ability to fly won’t exactly help here. Still, he’s not sure how much Autumn knows, but Rin would prefer to keep his involvement with this lab minimum as possible. Hell, he’s not even supposed to talk to anyone about this stuff unless they’re authorized personnel.
