Dallas shook his cigarette case and dispensed another, lighting it after rolling his lighter nimbly across his knuckles.
"Important? Nah, I'm just a regular workin stiff -- not a bigshot fishguy ambassador like you," He smiled over at Azure VI before grinning at Thalia Melpomene. "I'm just a local, that's all. These are my people." He smiled, waving his hand around at the ramshackle little restaurant. It'd been a traincar at one point, before it became a sushi bar and diner. "I hope you're enjoying all that Wall Market can offer. Probably doesn't measure up against the digs you got in Bubbleland or wherever you're from, though, right?" His grin widened as he watched the fishman, before glancing sidelong at Thalia. "What about you? How long have you been a company lady?'

Thalia swallowed the last bite on her plate and straightened up. This fishboi was starting to sound pretty important. She was starting to wonder what she’d gotten herself involved in. A waitress came by to buss her plate and she placed the 5 gil Dallas had given her on the table.
“Me? Uh…” The SOLDIER looked up at the ceiling as she did her best to add up her years of service with the Shin-ra company. “About 10 years. I’m from around here too. Did my mom a favor and left home as soon as I could enlist. One less mouth to feed and all that.”
Thalia was beginning to feel a little uncomfortable. She didn’t like being asked questions about her past and it occurred to her in that moment that she hadn’t talked about her family with anyone in a very long time. She felt a lump in her throat and cleared it loudly. “This place got any drinks?”
Walking into the "bar" or more like a hell hole for him, lucas sat down at a table near what looked like a fishman? and a woman he saw her eyes just barely as he walked in they were makofied signifying that she was a SOLIDER since they have those eyes "interesting..never thought id see someone in solider down in sector 6..."he muttered but slightly for thalia to hear
There was certainly something poignant in what Thalia had said, that the best she could do for her mother was to leave her care as soon as possible, to devote a decade of her life to combat and conflict above all else. And presumably, on a more than superficial level, Azure understood the subtle gravity of that comment even while the SOLDIER seemed all too eager to continue down a different avenue of conversation. Being the spawn of a beautiful romance between a test tube and a needle though, with no actual parents or family to call his own... It was kind of hard to tell.
The fishman certainly didn't say or show anything of recognition aside from a slight nod and a whispered "thank you" to table's server as they came to take away his own now-empty plate. Bubbleland or not, it was only proper to be polite.
And being polite also meant not overstaying your welcome, something Azure considered as another young gentlemen entered the relatively tiny restaurant and took a seat at a table beside the trio. "I thought it best not further trespass upon Mr. Wheeler's good nature, though I suppose a drink could not be so bad. I hope your partner is not overly bored with this turn of events."
Dallas's Party Henshu System vibrated in his coat pocket. "I'll have to meet up with you all another time," He said, slipping out the restaurant quietly.
(Sorry for the delay, I gonna bow out. Until we meet/fight again Azure! EXIT)

Thalia looked down at Ajax. The dog had pressed his snout up under the bar and was licking at something leftover that was just out of his tongue’s reach. She reassured Azure about her canine partner with a gruff, “He’s fine.”
“Oh!” The SOLDIER stood up as Dallas excused himself. She wondered if it was the Don that was calling him. It seemed like an important call based on his reaction. “Sure. Some other time…”
“Thanks for the food!” She called out after him as she prepared to leave herself. It wasn’t that she doubted the Don’s right hand had the clout to get them a free meal but she didn’t want to risk getting stuck with the bill by some mistake. Especially after watching Azure scarf down all that sushi.
Thalia glanced over at the boy that had seated himself near her. She was on her feet and in the process of leaving but she suddenly stopped. His words seemed like a challenge to her and she wasn’t one to back down from a fight. Her brow furrowed and her eyes went icy, “Are you trying to tell me I’m not welcome?”
lucas shook his head at her words standing up himself "no not at all im just saying im surprised is all normally we dont have Shin-Ra this far down" he explained to her shaking his head before mouthing to her names lucas garrett,in all honesty i shouldnt be talking to you right now cause of my mission here is to be part of avalanche...if anyone knows where i truly work im screwed especially in the cell he mouthed to her explaining why himself a member of Shin-Ra would be here

Azure watched, somewhat wide-eyed, as Dallas was seemingly summoned away from the table in quite a hurry, especially after having been such a fine host up to this point. However, far be it for one moment to tarish his otherwise perfect record-- the young man was a self-professed working stiff after all, and in the fishman's experience, working stiffs like the Turks or SOLDIER were often called away with a similar level of abruptness. It was the unfortunate reality of being boots on the ground.
Never a moment's rest for the wicked, as they say. Perhaps more fitting to both cases than Azure himself even knew.
Regardless, he made a mental note to perhaps do something nice for Dallas if ever they were to meet a second time, tidying up the table a bit before heading for the exit himself. And a blue-hued hand was already pushing the doorway open before the fishman noticed that his companion in this endeavor was lagging behind a bit, having some sort of interaction with another of the place's patrons. A... discussion? A very quiet one at any rate, further masked by the low level roar that accompanied any bar when the alcohol was flowing so freely.
Likely, it was not for him to question or know. "In your time, miss. I will be waiting just outside." Waiting for what exactly Azure wasn't quite sure-- It wasn't as if they were actually 'best buds' afterall. But, as he opened the door and stepped into the summertime night and evening lights, he figured he could at least thank her for the experience.

“Huh…” Thalia stared blankly at the boy as she listened to his hushed explanation. He confessed that he was a Shin-ra spy posing as a member of AVALANCHE and went into great detail about what would happen to him if someone saw him talking to her.
“Then why are you?” The SOLDIER asked bluntly. Thalia nodded to Azure before he stepped out onto the street to let him know she was on the way. She was beginning to lose patience with this guy that she’d never met in her life that suddenly seemed like he wanted to tell her his life story.
Thalia stared at him for an awkward beat before throwing her head back in a hearty bout of raucous laughter. She punched his arm playfully. “I’m just givin’ ya a hard time. I need a drink.”
She stepped out of the bar with Ajax at her heels and breathed deeply of the night air. The slums had a unique flavor to them, especially in the hotter summer months.
